Bizarre song: China's 'Chick chick' is no Gangnam Style, but it is catchy

A new Chinese song that has gone viral with more than 6 million views on YouTube since its release nearly a month ago, is being hailed as the next Gangnam Style.

But, try listening to it once, and you will believe that Gangnam Style was actually sane, way more sane.

This ‘chick chick’ song by artist Wang Rong Rollin may be catchy (We can already hear ourselves humming), but the video is absolutely bizarre. The video features animated chickens and topless men in animal masks dancing in what looks like a farm.

Psy’s K-Pop breakout hit Gangnam Style is the only YouTube video ever to pass two billion views. And, internet believes that the video may giving Psy a run for his money.

Screen grab from the video

The song, however, reminded us more of Ylvis’ ‘ what does the fox say'.

The ‘chick chick’ video begins with Wang casting a spell on an animated animal farm to bring it to life. Dancers in strange makeup and poultry-themed white tutus and headdresses materialise, shaking their tailfeathers.

What we got from the song: squawking, farm noises, “funky funky” and “oh oh oh”. We never heard chick chick though!

Watch the video above. And next time, you see someone in a club doing the chick chick moves instead of the Gangnam style, don’t be surprised, because whether you love it or hate it, you will definitely sing this!
