They give the term adrenaline high an all new meaning and give us a dizzyingly breathtaking video. [caption id=“attachment_2219036” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] A screengrab from the Youtube video.[/caption] Princess Towers, the tallest residential building in Dubai at 1,358 feet, saw around 600 base jumpers flying off the 99th floor in the first of its kind event in Dubai, reports The National. Organised by Skydive Dubai, the Dream Jump Dubai event introduced adrenalin junkies to the latest rope jumping system that allows a person to experience free falling safely, continues the report. The YouTube video of the free falls is a heady mix of thrilling and terrifying as we see the jumpers step off the edge and hurtle downwards in a series of acrobatic movements. The video, set to some dramatic background score, is sure to give you an adrenaline rush just by watching these daredevils free fall, do back flips, make mid-air formations, push each other off the platform, hang upside down, spin and float on air, all at a height of more than 1000 feet. The feeling can be summed up best by the description of the YouTube video, ‘What sounds like a nightmare for most is still a dream for others’.
The jumpers took to Facebook to express their excitement saying “Well we have lived!…. with those jumps with Princess Tower, the Tallest Residential Building in the World," on the official Dream Jump page. Even those who got the opportunity to witness these stunts live were as enthused as the performers. The National quoted a resident of Princess Towers, Saud Al Anazi, saying “It is an exciting spectacle to wake up in the morning and see people free fall past your balcony.” Dream jumping is a technique created by Tomasz Zieliński which enables maximum free falling giving a jumper infinite possibilities for acrobatics, somersaults and cartwheels in the air, according to their official website www.dreamjump.pl This Dream Jump Dubai event was part of their project called ‘Dream Walker around the world in 80 jumps’ which invites participants all over the world to join and jump with Dream Jump. Truly, these jumpers have taken the term adrenaline rush to a new high.
