Welspun India promoters have increased their stake in the company by 11.50 percent to 59.56 percent through acquisition of shares worth Rs 55.30 crore from the open market.
The company, in a stock exchange filing, said promoters have bought 1.02 crore shares from the BSE on 16 July taking the total count to 5.3 crore shares. The shares were acquired by Krishiraj Trading Ltd, a constituent of Welspun Promoter Group, it said.
