If you thought only cash-back credit cards gave you cash-back offers for shopping with the card think again. Now even a few retail sites do so.

According to a report published in Business Line today, “a number of tech-savvy entrepreneurs have been able to cash in on the ‘great Indian bargain mindset’ by paying back cash on every purchase they make at an online retail store, after clicking first from their own site.” Simply put, you as a customer land up getting cash, Of course this is over and about the online shopping discounts which online portals offer.

Portals like Pennyful.in, Cazback.in, Medicash.in and Cashkaro.com are such sites. These firms have marketing tie-ups with most shopping portals like , Flipkart.com,, Jabong.com, Myntra..comand Yebhi.com. Shopping portals pay portals offering cash- back a marketing fee which they passed on to the customer. In short though the margin is thin for the cash-back offering websites, it’s all a volumes game.
