HDFC Life to offer jobs to deceased policy holder's family

When it comes to selling insurance, there is never a dearth of initiatives. HDFC Life on Monday announced its launch of Swabhimaan Careers, an initiative with which the company wants to build long-term relationships with policy holders. And, to do so, the company will offer jobs to the deceased policy holder’s dependents.

Once the paperwork regarding the policy is done and settlement of claim is done, the insurance company will consider the dependents for job opportunities with company. Of course, the job offer will entirely be based on the caliber and fitment of candidates.

According to a report published in Business Line newspaper today, “Talking about the initiative, Rajendra Ghag, Chief Human Resource Officer, HDFC Life said, “We believe that when a customer buys a policy from HDFC Life, our relationship extends beyond the policyholder to their loved ones. Our association with the customer does not end with the transaction of claim settlement, but continues with the provision of an opportunity to be self reliant to the customers’ dependents.''

In fact the dependents won’t need to get in touch with the company, instead the insurer will proactively get in touch with the deceased policy holder’s dependents to offer job opportunity. This initiative is a part of the corporate social responsibility.
