Today, we have picked Divi’s Laboratories, GVK Power, Idea Cellular, India Cements, Mundra Port, CESC, Cairn, Tata Motors DVR and DRL as the 9 stocks of the day.

9 stocks to watch out for today

The 9 stocks below are the picks for the day across small-, mid- and large-cap companies that offer a wide array of choices to retail as well as long-term investors.

Divi’s Laboratories is attempting to cross its previous high of Rs 806. With the first quarters expected to be very strong the stock can cross this high and touch Rs 825 levels. Technically too the stock has moved up gradually on steadily increasing volume.

GVK Power has broken out of its range on good volume. The stock has a potential of Rs 22 if it crosses Friday’s high of Rs 20.30.

Idea Cellular was a buy call generated for Friday but it was not triggered. The stock fell marginally on low volume. The stock can cross the high of Rs 81 and touch Rs 85.

India Cements has moved out of a range, however, the breakout was on low volume. If it manages to cross Rs 73.40, the high of Friday, it can touch Rs 77.

Mundra Port is close to its previous high and shows signs of crossing it. It can touch Rs 175 if it crosses Rs 165, its Friday high.

CESC was a sell call below Rs 294.10. The stock touched a low of Rs 293.70 and closed at Rs 294.30 on Friday. We have a target of Rs 275 which we maintain.

We had a buy call on Cairn which was activated on Thursday. The stock touched a high of Rs 327.85 and closed the day at Rs 325.80 on Friday. We have a target of Rs 330, which we will continue with.

Tata Motors DVR was a buy call with a stop loss of Rs 535 and a target of Rs 560. The stock scaled a high of Rs 547.80 on Friday and closed the day at Rs 539.30. We continue with our target of Rs 560 for the stock.

We had a sell call on Dr Reddy’s Lab with a target of Rs 1,500. The stock came down to a low of Rs 1,515.50 and closed at Rs 1,525.05 on Friday. We continue with our sell call and maintain the target of Rs 1,500.
