9 stocks to watch out for today

The 9 stocks below are the picks for the day across small-, mid- and large-cap companies that offer a wide array of choices to retail as well as long-term investors.

Vijaya Bank has just breached its previous low of Rs 64, made a month back. The stock touched a low of Rs 63.55 and closed the day at the support price of Rs 64 on Thursday. The weakness displayed during the day suggests further selling in the counter which can take it to Rs 60 levels.

Tata Motors has been holding on to the Rs 925 level for the whole week, while its competitor Maruti has been on a decline and has touched a new 52 week low. Tata Motors can touch Rs 875 level if Rs 925 is breached.

Oriental Bank has been in a correction mode over the last three days, with the stock rising on increasing volumes. On Thursday, however, the stock showed weakness during the day. It is likely that the stock can touch the previous low of Rs 312 if the low of Rs 323 of Thursday is broken.

ACC too has displayed a similar pattern as Oriental Bank, however, its rise has been on falling volume. ACC can touch the previous low of Rs 920 if the price falls below Rs 948, the low of Thursday.

Dena Bank has taken support at its previous low of Rs 84 and closed the day at Rs 84.65. A breach of the Rs 84 level can take the stock to Rs 77.

Our sell call onDLF was triggered below Rs 208. The stock touched a low of Rs 206.10 on Thursday and closed at Rs 210. We maintain our target of Rs 195 for the stock.

Patel Engineering continues as our buy call. Our buy call with a stop loss of Rs 131 which was triggered on Wednesday. The stock touched a high of Rs 138.75 on Thursday and closed the day at Rs 136.60. We have a price target of Rs 145 for the stock.

Our sell call onJP Associates continues. We initiated the sell call below Rs 78.40. The stock touched a low of Rs 74.45 and closed at Rs 76.05. We maintain our target of Rs 70 on the stock.

Hero Honda was a buy call which is continued. The stock touched a high of Rs 1,768.45 and closed at Rs 1,764.10. We have a target of Rs 1,825 for the stock and a stop loss below Rs 1,725.
