Demanding the suspension of some Delhi police officials, AAP party leader and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal was to protest outside the Home Ministry in North Block. The Delhi CM was to sit on a dharna with seven MLAs and asked people not to come due to the 26 January security issues.

The Delhi police has imposed prohibitory orders in the New Delhi area and it is likely that the CM could be detained. The Delhi Police also shut down four metro stations close to the North Block which are Central Secretariat, Patel Chowk, Udyog Bhavan and Race Course road.
