Whistleblower in Vyapam scam challenges Shivraj Singh Chouhan to lie detector test

He's been going after the Madhya Pradesh chief minister for some time now, but Vyapam scam whistle-blower Dr Anand Rai has now challenged Shivraj Singh Chouhan to undergo a polygraph and narco analysis test. Rai has said he will also undergo it at the same time.

Rai has accused Chouhan of summoning him to his residence on 11 August and offering to cancel his transfer if he stopped the campaign against the chief minister and his family.

The doctor told the Times of India that if the Chief Minister denied making the offer he was willing to undergo the scientific tests as long as Chouhan did the same.

In an affidavit submitted to the High Court on 2 September, 38-year-old Rai , who is a government doctor, said he was summoned by the CM to his official residence on 11 August, 2015 through a common friend.

"The meeting began at 9.45 pm and ended at 10.50 pm in the night," Rai's affidavit stated.

"The Chief Minister assured me that if I stopped my campaign on Vyapam as well as Dental and Medical Admission Test (DMAT) state quota scam against him and his family, I and my wife will be allowed to remain at Indore and by transfer order will be cancelled," Rai stated in an affidavit.

"The Chief Minister also assured that he will instruct the Advocate General's office to give this in writing before the High Court," Rai's sworn submission to the High Court stated.

Rai moved the High Court challenging his and his wife Gauri's transfer out of Indore, alleging that it  is a vindictive move by the Chief Minister.

The doctor was one of the first whistleblowers who had raised an alarm regarding the ongoing MP Professional Examination Board (locally known as Vyapam) scam in medical admission in Madhya Pradesh.
