Uttar Pradesh: Neighbour rapes married woman at gunpoint

Hapur, UP: A 32-year-old married woman was allegedly raped at gunpoint by her neighbour in Garhmukteshwar in Uttar Pradesh, police said on Monday. The incident occurred last evening when the victim, a mother of three, had gone to mow grass in the field. The accused came there and raped the woman at gun point. [caption id=“attachment_1060555” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  AFP[/caption] “After raping her, the accused also threatened her of killing her children if she revealed her ordeal to anyone,” a senior police officer said. However, the woman told her husband about the incident and later filed a complaint against him at Simbhawali police station. In her FIR, she has further alleged that the accused had raped her one-and-a-half-months ago also. “Police is investigating the case and the accused would be arrested soon,” the officer said. PTI
