UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2018 notification released; check on

The UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2018 notification was released on Tuesday on the official website of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on its official website The examination will be held on 3 June, 2018.

According to Hindustan Times, the last date for receipt of the application for the preliminary examination is 6 pm on 6 March, 2018. An e-admission certificate will be issued three weeks before the commencement of the examination and can be downloaded from the official website.

The prelims exam is a screening test only and marks obtained in the same are not considered in the final selection of candidates, News 18 reported. Paper-I comprises Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) based on History and Culture, Science and Technology, Geography, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Environment and Ecology, and Current Events/Affairs of National and International importance.

The Civil Services Examination is usually conducted in two steps: 1) Preliminary (objective type) for selecting candidates for the main examination and 2) Civil Services (Main) Examination which will comprise written paper and interview for the selection of candidates.

  3. Click on Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2018.
  4. Open the notification and save it for future reference.
