The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release a detailed notification for the National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) 2017 on Monday, News18 reported.
Candidates can check details of the exam on the official website cbse.nic.in. The online registration for UGC-NET 2017 will begin from 1 August and the last date for application is scheduled to be 30 August, added the report.
CBSE is scheduled to conduct the UGC-NET exam on 5 November 2017. The UGC-NET exam is conducted for testing the eligibility of candidates for the positions of assistant professor or for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The exam will be conducted in 84 subjects at the selected 90 NET examination cities across India.
The candidates who crack the exam will be eligible for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and can pursue research in the main subject of their post-graduation degree or in any other related subject. The examination consists of three papers.
The exam is usually conducted twice a year, but the UGC in March this year had announced that it was thinking of making the exam an annual exercise.

Online Application Starts: 1 August, 2017
Online Application Ends: 30 August, 2017
Last date for payment of fee: 31 August, 2017
