Parcel bomb case: Accused sent to police custody

Howrah: The prime accused and another person arrested in connection with the death of a woman journalist in a parcel bomb explosion was remanded to police custody for 10 days by a local court today.

The prime accused Debashis Dey arrested in joint operation by West Bengal and Maharashtra police from Ratnagiri on October 4 and was brought here for production before the court.

The other person was arrested yesterday in connection with the September 26 parcel bomb explosion at Buxarah which claimed journalist Chaitali Santra's life and injured her husband.

Three more persons were arrested in connection with the incident also on 4 October.
