 "Pahalgam terror attack: J&K launches 24/7 emergency helplines; security forces begin anti-terror ops")
After the deadly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, which has reportedly claimed over 27 lives and left several others injured, authorities on Tuesday set up a 24/7 emergency helpline to assist tourists in the region.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha confirmed that security forces have launched intensified anti-terror operations in the aftermath of the attack.
Vowing a strong response, Sinha assured that those behind the heinous act will be brought to justice and face the full force of the law.
“Anti-terror ops launched to neutralise terrorists. The entire nation is angry & the blood of our forces is boiling. I want to assure the nation that perpetrators of the Pahalgam attack will have to pay a very heavy price for their heinous act. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families,” Times of India quoted him as saying.
Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir have established dedicated emergency help desks to assist tourists and provide timely information and support.
