No girl wants to garland man going for second marriage: Sushil Modi takes dig at Nitish
In a sarcastic rejoinder to grand secular alliance's claim of having a 'dulha' (bridegroom) in Nitish Kumar, the BJP today said the JD(U) leader was going for a second marriage and no bride would like to garland him.
Buxar (Bihar): In a sarcastic rejoinder to grand secular alliance's claim of having a 'dulha' (bridegroom) in Nitish Kumar, the BJP on Monday said the JD(U) leader was going for a second marriage and no bride would like to garland him.
"Nitish Kumar is going for second marriage. No girl wants to garland a man going for second marriage," senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi told an election rally here.
He blamed Kumar for severing 17-year-old ties with BJP in June 2013 opposing Narendra Modi.
Sushil Modi's remark came in response to grand secular alliance leader Lalu Prasad's oft repeated jibe at BJP that it (the alliance) has a 'dulha' (bridegroom) in Kumar but NDA has none.
The JD(U), RJD and Congress coalition have named Kumar as its chief ministerial candidate in the Bihar poll.
The BJP-led NDA has not named anybody as its nominee for the post and is fighting the poll in the name of Prime Minister Modi.
The counting of votes began Sunday morning at more than 825 centres across the 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh
The AINRC has won ten seats, while the BJP has won six seats. In the UPA camp, the DMK won six constituencies, while the Congress won in two places
