New Delhi: This Raksha Bandhan was a special one for 103-year-old Sharbati Devi as she got a chance to tie a rakhi on the wrist of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

She was invited for the same by the prime minister himself.

Devi lost her brother about 50 years ago, and would always miss him, especially on Raksha Bandhan, the PMO said.

Her son wrote to the prime minister who invited the elderly woman and her family to his residence on Monday.

Sharbati Devi was extremely delighted to meet the prime minister and tie a rakhi. They had a wonderful interaction, the PMO added.
