The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will build Krishna Janmbhoomi temple in Mathura and Kashi Vishwanath temple in place of Gyanvapi mosque in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi after it wins 400 seats in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Assam Chief Minister and party leader Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

Addressing an election rally in poll-bound East Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar, Sarma also said when Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s party gets 400 seats, POK (Pakistan-occupied Kashmir) will also become a part of India.

Himanta Biswa Sarma says why BJP needs 400 seats

The BJP leader went on to say that the party built, as promised, a grand Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya after it won 300 seats in the Lok Sabha.

“If someone asks Sachin Tendulkar, why do you hit double century or triple century, there’s no answer to this question, still when Congress asks us (BJP) why do you need 400 seats? The answer is - when we got 300 seats, we built the Ram Mandir and now when we get 400 seats Krishna Janmabhoomi will be built and Baba Vishwanath Mandir will also be built in place of Gyanvapi Mosque,” Sarma said.

“The BJP government had promised the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and it kept its promise. The BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has fulfilled all the promises,” Assam CM said.

PoK will be included in India under PM Modi’s leadership

Sarma also slammed the Congress and said during the grand old party’s rule, there were no discussions held in the Parliament over the issue of PoK. He said, “When the Congress government was in power, we were told that one Kashmir is in India and the other in Pakistan. It was never discussed in our Parliament that Pakistan has ‘Occupied Kashmir,’ it is actually ours.”

“Right now, agitation is happening every day in PoK and pictures are emerging from there where people are seen protesting against Pakistan with Indian flag in their hands. When PM Modi gets 400 seats, PoK will also become a part of India. It has already started,” Sarma said.

Videos from protests in PoK, which erupted around May 10, showed ‘Azadi’ slogans being raised by a group of agitators against Pakistan.

The demonstrations were spearheaded by the Jammu and Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) which has asked protesters to resume their march saying that Shehbaz Sharif-led Pakistan government did not fulfill all their demands.

On Tuesday, three civilians died and six others suffered injuries in PoK due to firing and teargas shelling by the Pakistani Rangers, a paramilitary force operating under the Pakistan Army, in Muzaffarabad as protests over rising costs of food, fuel, and utilities intensified.
