Delhi: Fire breaks out in The Times of India building, 31 firetenders rushed to spot

A fire broke out at The Times of India building on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg in central Delhi’s ITO area on Sunday evening.

A fire broke out at The Times of India building on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg in central Delhi’s ITO area on Sunday evening. 

According to a report in the  Business Standard , the fire was reported around 4:45 pm on the first floor of the five-storey building.  DNA reported that the fire broke out in the server room.

Occupants of the building were safely evacuated and no casualties were reported in the incident, according to  The Indian Express  reported. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

This is the second time in two years that a fire has broken out in The Times of India building in Delhi. In May 2016, a major fire engulfed the building’s fourth floor as a result of a short circuit in the press conference room, making it necessary to evacuate the building. No casualties were reported in the incident.
