Dr Umar Nabi, the prime suspect in the Delhi blast case, stepped out of the Hyundai i20 car near a mosque in the capital hours before the explosion near Red Fort on November 10, CCTV footage has shown.
According to News18, investigative agencies are currently ascertaining whether Nabi made contact with anyone after he left the car briefly. There is no clarity on the particular mosque Nabi was spotted around, or whether he visited the said mosque.

DNA test confirms Nabi as bomber
The DNA test of samples collected from the Red Fort blast site has confirmed that Dr Umar Nabi was driving the car that exploded there early this week, police sources told PTI on Thursday.
The DNA samples of Umar’s mother were collected on Tuesday and sent here for examination, the sources said, adding that they were analysed along with the remains gathered from the blast site.
“The DNA results confirm that it was indeed Umar who was driving the fateful vehicle,” said a source. Umar was a key member of a “white collar” terror module busted earlier this week. He hails from Koil village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama.

Dr Umar U. Nabi, the son of Gh. Nabi Bhat worked as a doctor at Al-Falah Medical College in Faridabad. His mother, Shamima Banoo, is originally from Koil in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. Born on February 24, 1989, Dr Umar was said to be a close associate of Dr Adeel, another suspect currently under investigation as part of the ongoing terror network probe.
Sources revealed that Umar’s father, a government school teacher suffering from mental health issues, left his job nearly 10–15 years ago. The family includes two brothers and an elder sister; the sister and one brother are married, while the other brother remains unmarried. Police have detained both brothers and their mother for questioning.
Officials suspect that Dr Umar was among a network of medical professionals who were radicalised via encrypted Telegram channels, forming what investigators describe as the “Faridabad module.” He earned his MD in Medicine from Government Medical College, Srinagar, served as a senior resident at GMC Anantnag, and later relocated to Delhi. At the time of the blast, he held the position of Assistant Professor at Al-Falah Medical College in Faridabad.
