New Delhi: Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Sunday constituted a team of observers to assess the political situation in Odisha.
MPs Sushmita Dev and Tamrdhwaj Sahu, and and former union minister Jitendra Singh are members of the team.
"The team will work in coordination with the AICC general secretary and secretary in-charge of the state to assess the political situation there.
"The team will submit a report to the Congress president at the end of their visit," AICC general secretary Janardan Dwivedi said.
Gandhi also appointed Ruchi Gupta as joint secretary of the AICC and will report to Girish Chodankar, who will continue as AICC secretary in-charge of NSUI.
