Be wary of hoax callers threatening deportation, Sushma Swaraj tells Indians abroad

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Friday urged Indians abroad not to be misled by callers claiming to speak on behalf of her ministry.

"Indians abroad — please beware of such calls and report to police," the minister tweeted on Friday.

She was responding to pleas made by an Indian, Rahul Pandey, who told her that he had got a call from a Singapore telephone number threatening to have him deported from the city state.
