Dress codes are one thing, but what happened during an Army recruitment exam in Bihar is beyond bizarre. Reports suggest that those who appeared for the exam on Sunday in Muzaffarpur were stripped to their underwear.
A candidate on the condition of anonymity told The Indian Express, "As we entered Chakkar Maidan, the venue, we were asked to remove all clothes except underwear. We had no option but to comply with the instructions even though it felt odd. The gap between candidates was about eight feet in all directions."
Army Regional Office (ARO) told the newspaper that the candidates were asked to strip and take the exam almost naked to save time from frisking so many people.
According to reports, more than a thousand candidates appeared for the exams.
Bihar is a state notorious for cheating during exams. Last year videos and images of parents, friends and relatives climbing the walls of a Class X examination hall in the state went viral.
