At least 34 persons were injured when the Chennai-Mangalore Express derailed in Cuddalore district in Tamil Nadu early on Friday morning, TV news reports said. [caption id=“attachment_2420710” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]

that five coaches of the train derailed near Virudhachalam in Tamil Nadu. According to CNN-IBN, the incident took place at about 2 a.m. Eight trains are said to have been delayed in southern district because of the accident. On 24 August,
another train accident
took place in Andhra Pradesh, when a truck collided with the Bangalore-Nanded Express Express. Five persons, included an MLA from Karnataka, were killed in the incident, while 20 others were injured.
On 4 August
the Janata Express and Kamayani Express, derailed in the Harda area of Madhya Pradesh leaving at least 29 dead.
