Today our most commented articles were on Rahul Gandhi and Niira Radia. As always we appreciate your opinions and are glad you are sharing them with us on our articles and through social media. Here is our daily compilation of your comments that we liked the best. Via @firstpostin @mithunk “large, smiling yet deep-set eyes, a full lip-glossed mouth…” RK Anand on Niira Radia via @firstpostin #OldLove? @amithpr How Niiiiira Radia made INR 220 cr and more.@firstpostin is doing a great job of bringing her back to the limelight On Articles Prashant Raman Good analysis but i do not agree with the last part. Dont expect US or UK or for that matter any country to help you in your battles. We need to be capable of doing it alone and for that matter the focus of the govt has to be clear. Our conventional fighting capacity is also hampered by delayed purchases and corruption. In the present technological age our borders are still porus which is shocking and allows undesired elements to come in. Can go on on this subject but then it will be too long. But definitely a good piece aprreciate it. Posted on Why the Buddha never smiled Anshul I think this is brill, no one writes about sex in India (apart from aforementioned sex questions in newspapers, who have a tendency to call being gay a phase of teenage btw), so a humorous one is quite welcome….we Indians need to relax about sex…we already have too much of sex if our population is a testament we might as well enjoy and laugh! Posted on Jai Hind — we can beat those wankers! hopefull a memeber of the fairer sex finally giving everyone a run for their money and that too in India, the land of testorone ! hehe.. she swam with the sharks and took bites off their flesh.. whatever her devious means, whatever her questionable moral ethics..i say go girl! Posted on An inside look at the life and loves of Niira Radia essdee Sorry, Mr. Samanth, I would say Cricket IS India. Cricket is India when we crow about Indian origin people getting into Forune 500, while millions starve in our country. Cricket is India, when we sympathise with the bahus in the soaps, and blithely ignore young girls murdered by their families for the crime of falling in love. Cricket is India shining, basis a few shining glass buildings in Mumbai and Bangalore and Gurgaon, while shanties and slums house the majority urban population. Cricket is precocious Indian-origin (oh, how I love the term) kids winning spelling bees in US, and being celebrated in Indian media, while 55% population of their parent’s homeland remains illiterate. Well, before I run out of metaphors, cricket is a metaphor for everything wrong in India today - SYMBOLISM. And for all cricket fans out there, a lot of unprintable language. Posted on Goodbye to metaphor: cricket is not India Joya Rogers Now that Rahul has admitted that he is ashamed to be an Indian, will the media demote him as the"crown prince" of the most corrupt political party that has mis-ruled my country and treated it as a private property and business house for most of 64 years of Independence. I belong to India, there is no other India unless one is indifferent to corruption, poverty and the environment. There are more than enough capable people who can manage to bring back Maha Bharat and many more Chanakyas who struggle to keep the integrity of our great civilisation. Let the Congress accept responsibility for the mess that is India today Posted on Rahul’s experiments with ‘other India’ Rahuls RK Anand is hardly in a position to write anything on anybody…and it also is very surprising as to how he has all the insider info!! What makes him an authority on Niira Radia? Who has given him these salacious details? Will he be able to back up his claims if cornered? If this book was written without active help from Ms Radia herself, which I am sure it is, then one should just disregard the contents as concocted half stories and leave it at that!! On the other hand, if half of what he is written is true, then all I can say is, this is a desperate attempt of an ill reputed old man to grab his 15 minutes of fame!! If Ms Radia has indeed managed to do all these then my heartfelt respect goes out to her and also proves the fact that our country is governed by a bunch a jokers!!! Posted on Radia headhunted the right policy-influencers Ritsbhat Oh Lakhsmi, how I love your analysis of R K Anand’s depicture of Niira Radia. You have echoed my sentiments totally. I have always felt that had she been a man, things would have progressed differently. Can you really see anyone delving into other people’s personal lives and their relationships, people who have been named in the 2G scam?? It is just because Niira Radia happens to be a woman, people just can’t accept it. So men feel insecure, and women feel jealous…each secretly wishing that if they just had her contacts, power, reach and the brains and since they haven’t, just do the next best thing - malign her. It’s the easiest way to vent your frustration, make noise over irrelevant issues to hide the reality and make some quick buck!! Posted on The unconscionable hotness of Niira Radia Narayan The self-proclaimed PM-in-waiting, who has always insisted that he wants to change the face of Indian politics, is not only showing that he cannot make a difference, he is asserting that he is no different. When farmers protest against land acquisition in the UP, he sheds crocodile tears of support. When the same thing happened in AP, a state ruled by his party, his silence is deafening. As is the silence in the Jaitapur agitation, in another state where his party runs the show. Posted on Firstpost on Politics: I feel ashamed to call myself an Indian: Rahul Gandhi Prithvi The real issue is not what Rahul Gandhi said .. its about land grabbing from local politicians there. Lets not forget that this is a democracy and however poor the land owners are, this is no way to treat local folks. I think Rahul Gandhi understands this point and spoke just like all Indians speak at some point of time when we see or personally face outright misgovernance and are shamed by it. We should not make his choice of words the issue but the wrongful misdeeds of corrupt politicians need to be spoken about. As far as Rahul Gandhi is concerned, he may very well choose better words … on a lighter note, he sometimes reminds me of George Bush Jr. but his intentions seem honest and noble from where I am sitting. Posted on Firstpost on Politics: I feel ashamed to call myself an Indian: Rahul Gandhi Abhikthakur Now that Cricket has been finally ‘conquered’ in its new avatar as an Indian game, hopefully it will inspire people to watch, play, applaud and encourage other sports also.
