The Sensex has fallen 500 points and the prophets of doom have crawled out from wherever they crawl out from. What is it that makes a 500 point slide a harbinger of the world falling to pieces and a 500 word upward move just a good day for the markets – but not the harbinger of an extraordinarily bright future?
