New Delhi: Air conditioning and engineering services provider Voltas today reported consolidated net profit of Rs 76.81 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2012.
The company had posted a net loss of Rs 115.41 crore in the same period last fiscal, the company said in a filing to the BSE. Net sales during the quarter under review stood Rs 1,150.17 crore as against Rs 1,153.88 crore in the year-ago period, it added.

During the quarter, the company’s electro-mechanical projects and services had revenues of Rs 797 crore as compared to Rs 824 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal. Engineering products and services segment clocked Rs 107 crore, up from Rs 88 crore in the same period last fiscal, the company said.
Unitary cooling products for comfort and commercial use segment had revenue of Rs 239 crore during the third quarter this fiscal as compared to Rs 234 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal, it said. Shares of Voltas Ltd ended the day at Rs 95.70 per scrip, up 0.21 per cent from the previous close on the BSE.
