VK Duggal sworn-in as Manipur governor

Imphal: VK Duggal, a former Union home secretary, was today sworn in as the new governor of Manipur. Chief Justice of the Manipur High Court, Laxmikant Mahapatra administered the oath of office and secrecy to Duggal at a simple function at the Raj Bhavan.[caption id=“attachment_1316363” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Manipur Governor VK Duggal. Duggal replaced Ashwini Kumar who is Nagaland’s Governor and has been looking after Manipur for some months after the retirement of former incumbent Gurbachan Jagat. Duggal is the 14th Governor of Manipur. PTI
