Namakkal: A 25-year old man drowned while immersing a Vinayakar idol in river Cauvery at Molasi in the district, police said today. [caption id=“attachment_1106553” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  Representational image: PTI[/caption] A group of 10 persons, who had put up the five-feet idol in their locality in connection with the Vinayakar Chathurthi festival, were immersing it in the river last evening when Sathi slipped and fell into deep water.
