International band Swedish House Mafia is back in India and will perform in Mumbai on Tuesday after its performance was cancelled last November owing to Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackeray’s death.

Mumbai: International band Swedish House Mafia is back in India and will perform in Mumbai on Tuesday after its performance was cancelled last November owing to Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackeray’s death.

The electronic music dance band, consisting of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, was to perform in Mumbai Nov 17, and in New Delhi on 18 Nov. However, with Thackeray’s death the same day (Nov 17), the performance was cancelled as a mark of respect to the leader.

The organiser Sunburn Arena on Thursday said that the band will return for their ‘One Last Tour’ as thousands of fans in Mumbai were left heartbroken in November “Sunburn Arena, keeping its promise, is bringing the masters of music Swedish House mafia back to India with an additional performance in Bangalore city,” an official said.

Swedish House Mafia was officially formed in late 2008 has been placed at No. 12 on the DJ Magazine Top 100 DJ rankings for 2012 and its members have been called “the faces of mainstream progressive house music”.

The music makers will be performing in the country for the last time ever. The group is disbanding making, ‘The One last Tour’ their farewell act.

Swedish House Mafia have recorded houseful in a minimum time frame upon opening the ticketing process in various other places in regard to the One Last Tour — Brooklyn (15,000 tickets in eight minutes), Chicago (14,000 tickets in five minutes) and Los Angeles (35,000 tickets in 30 minutes).
