Strauss-Kahn accuser lied: Prosecuters

The woman who accused former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn of sexual assault admitted she lied to a grand jury about what happened after the purported attack, prosecutors told Strauss-Kahn’s lawyers in a letter. The inconsistencies in her story led investigators to lose faith in her credibility as a witness, a dramatic turnabout in the case against a man who once had been seen as a top contender for the French presidency.

The woman who accused former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn of sexual assault admitted she lied to a grand jury about what happened after the purported attack, prosecutors told Strauss-Kahn’s lawyers in a letter. The inconsistencies in her story led investigators to lose faith in her credibility as a witness, a dramatic turnabout in the case against a man who once had been seen as a top contender for the French presidency.
