Mumbai: Stock broker Gautam Vora, arrested for allegedly helping the murder accused Vijay Palande when he escaped from the police custody, today approached the sessions court seeking bail. The metropolitan magistrate’s court had rejected his bail plea earlier. Vora was arrested last week. He is accused of helping Palande, the main accused in the gruesome murders of Delhi-based businessman Arun Kumar Tikku and consultant Karan Kakkad. Simran had claimed that Karan was her brother and I believed her,” he says. According to the police, after Palande gave police a slip on 10 April, Vora helped him check into a hotel in South Mumbai. Vora also allegedly used his own credit card to buy clothes for Palande. Palande was rearrested the same day. The bail application will be heard on 3 May. PTI
