SpiceJet appoints Kaneswaran Avili as CCO

Chennai: Low cost airliner SpiceJet today announced appointment of Kaneswaran Avili as its chief commercial officer with effect from 1 April 2014.

Avili, who holds 12 years experience in Asia, was part of the start up team of AirAsia in 2001, where he played a pivotal role in the airline’s cross border expansion into Thailand and Indonesia.

“Kanesh’s joining is part of an ongoing refresh of SpiceJet’s management team, with further announcements to be made in coming weeks,” SpieceJet Chief Operating Officer Sanjiv Kapoor said in a statement.

Avili would take up the role with effect from 1 April 2014, he said.
