SEOUL South Korea's navy fired warning shots on Friday after a North Korean patrol boat and fishing boat crossed the disputed sea border off the west coast of the Korean peninsula, an official with South Korea's joint chiefs of staff told Reuters.
The two vessels from the North retreated quickly after the shots were fired at around 7:30 a.m. (2230 GMT), the official said. The North Korean boats had crossed the disputed Northern Limit Line, the South Korean official said.
No other details were immediately available.
