 "Slain Maoist leader Kishenji's close aide arrested")
A Maoist rebel, reportedly a close aide of slain rebel leader Kishenji, has been arrested in Ranchi, police said today. Following a tip off, Ramdas alias Nandu was arrested from the Ranchi Railway Station when he was headed to Lohardaga. [caption id=“attachment_315994” align=“alignleft” width=“380” caption=“Slain rebel leader Kishenji’s close aide was arrested in Ranchi today”]  [/caption] According to police, Ramdas, who hails from Bihar’s Banka district, is a member of the Bihar-Jharkhand-Odisha-Chhatisgarh regional committee and had been close to Kishenji since 2008. The police expect vital information on Maoist activities from him. Kishenji was killed in an encounter during joint operations by the CRPF, CoBRA personnel and police in the Burisole forest in West Midnapore district in West Bengal on November 24 last year. PTI
