Shame again: Rewari girl raped in moving car

Rewari: A 20-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly abducted by three youths and raped by one of them in a moving car, police said in Rewari today. The girl, a class XII student from Lohana village near Rewari, was forcibly pulled into a car by the trio on 29 January when she was on her way to school at Siha village, they said.[caption id=“attachment_1369081” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Protesting crime against women. Naresh Sharma/Firstpost[/caption] She was allegedly sexually assaulted by one of her abductors in the car and was later dumped at a secluded spot near Kanina in Mahendergarh district, 35 kms from Rewari. Police got her statement recorded in a local court today. She was also medically examined at a local hospital. A case of abduction and rape has been registered by the police against the accused and efforts were on to trace the culprits. PTI
