Srinagar: An encounter broke out between militants, holed up in a house, and security forces in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir today, police sources said. Acting on a specific information about the presence of militants in a house in Shatipora village at Handwara, some 90 km from here, army and police launched a joint operation in the area.[caption id=“attachment_1262533” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  Fighting militants.
