 "Samajwadi Party celebrates Mulayam's 74th birthday")
Lucknow: Samajwadi Party workers today celebrated the 74th birthday of party president Mulayam Singh Yadav by cutting a large cake and organising the day as sankalp divas. At the main function at the party headquarters in Lucknow, senior leaders, including the Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav cut a 74 kg cake to mark the day and took the pledge by signing a resolution for achieving a historic win in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and taking forward the achievements and policies of the party among the people.[caption id=“attachment_532268” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav. PTI[/caption] Though Yadav was in New Delhi attending the Winter Session of Parliament, the party workers and leaders made a beeline to the party office in Lucknow since morning distributing and sharing sweets on the occasion.
