Reliance Cement enters market, to focus on Vidarbha

Mumbai: Reliance Cement Company, the cement subsidiary of Reliance Infrastructure, on Monday commercially launched its product and said it would initially focus its marketing efforts in the Vidarbha region.

“The company now commercially enters the cement market that has been on a robust growth trajectory for more than a decade now, led by buoyancy in sectors like realty, infra and construction,” it said in a statement.

The product is a new-age Portland Pozzollona cement, manufactured at RInfra’s recently commissioned plant at Butibori in Maharashtra.

It will be mainly delivered to the Vidarbha market and a strong channel network has been set up to service retail customers, the release said.

“We will initially cater to the entire Vidarbha market focusing on districts like Nagpur, Wardha, Chandrapur, Bhandara and Amrawati. Later, we will expand our marketing and

distribution networks in other districts,” Reliance Cement Vice-Chairman Sumit Banerjee said.

In a short span of time, the company has been able to set up a strong distribution network due to encouraging support from the new channel partners, he said. “All our business processes like manufacturing, sales and distribution, customer service are fully automated and geared

to meet the customer expectations,” Banerjee said.
