Vellore: The Judicial Magistrate Court-I, Judge Mummoorthy, will inspect on 23 August the prison cell where, Nalini the life convict in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, has been lodged. This in connection with the seizure of mobile sim card and knife from her cell in April,2010. When Nalini appeared, counsel for her wanted to know how could a mobile SIM card and knife be brought into the Central Women’s Prison and sought inspection of the cell. PTI[/caption] Accepting the request, the judge said he will inspect the cell in the presence of government additional public prosecutor (APP) and Nalini’s counsel on Friday and posted the case to 30 August. Earlier, the APP inquired with then Superintendent of the Special Prison for Women R Rajalakshmi, besides 11 police personnel in connection with the case. Later Nalini was taken back to prison. PTI
