New Delhi: Railways have earned Rs 68,671.58 crore during April-October this fiscal as compared to Rs 57,359.88 crore for the same period last year, registering an increase of 19.72 percent.
Total goods earnings have gone up from Rs 38,090.19 crore during the first seven months of the last fiscal to Rs 47,386.64 crore in the corresponding period this fiscal, an increase of 24.11 percent, Railway Ministry data states.[caption id=“attachment_519810” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]

Passenger earnings during April-October period were Rs 18,017.12 crore compared to Rs 16,305.84 crore during the same period last year, witnessing a growth of 10.49 percent.
Earnings from other coaching amounted to Rs 1,783.27 crore during this period as against Rs 1,619.68 crore for the same period last year, an increase of 10.10 percent.
The total number of passenger bookings during this period were 5,002.49 million compared to 4,817.02 million for the same period last year, showing an increase of 3.85 percent.
