Mumbai: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Mumbai on Friday on a day’s visit - his first to Maharashtra after being appointed the party’s No. 2. Shortly after his arrival in the morning, Gandhi will have a meeting with the district Congress committee and block Congress presidents of Mumbai, an official said on Thursday.  This will be followed by a meeting with elected members of the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation. Later, he will attend an extended executive meeting of the Mumbai Regional Congress Committee (MRCC). A MRCC office-bearer said Gandhi was also likely to seek views of leaders on appointments to various key posts in Mumbai district and the state, pending since some time. IANS
