Jaipur: Planning Commission member Saida Hamid today suggested Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to initiate an award scheme for panchayats which maintain healthy child sex ratio in their villages. Hamid lauded the effective execution of flagship schemes like free medicine scheme, Rajasthan Janani Shishu Surakhsha Yojna among others, an official spokesman said. Apart from her meeting with Gehlot, the Planning Commission member also held a meeting with senior government officials on civic-centric issues. PTI”] [/caption] The officials sought for a special package for the state’s environmental issues under the 12th Five Year Plan.
