Hyderabad: Two persons were killed and crops in 7,783 hectares were damaged in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh due to cyclone ‘Phailin’, according to the official survey. Sources said horticultural crops like coconut and cashew also sustained damage in 5,140 hectares. As many as 91,000 people were evacuated before the cyclone struck. Over nine km road stretches were damaged but they have been cleared of debris and fallen trees, with 380 houses were damaged completely.
