Bangalore: A petition seeking cancellation of bail granted to family members of former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa, arrested in an alleged land scam case, was today moved in the High Court here. Advocate Sirajin Basha, whose private complaint landed Yeddyurappa in jail, filed the petition praying for cancellation of bail granted by the Lokayukta court to two sons and the son-in-law of the former Chief Minister. Basha in his application has submitted that Yeddyurappa’s sons, BY Raghavendra, Lok Sabha member, BY Vijendra and son-in-law RN Sohan Kumar and BJP MLA Hemachandra Sagar, faced similar allegations as Yeddyurappa, who was denied bail and sent to judicial custody till 22 October by a local court. AFP”]  [/caption] The petition has been listed for hearing tomorrow before Justice BV Pinto, who will also take up the bail plea by Yeddyurappa. While refusing bail to Yeddyurappa and former minister SN Krishnaiah Setty, another accused in the case relating to alleged illegal denotification of lands, the Lokayukta court on 15 October granted bail to 14 other accused, including members of the former Chief Minister’s family. Setty also moved his bail application before the court today. Justice BV Pinto adjourned the hearing on it till tomorrow. PTI
