Pepe says fit to face France in Euro 2016 final | Reuters

PARIS Portugal defender Pepe has recovered from a thigh muscle injury and is ready to face hosts France in the Euro 2016 final on Sunday, he said after training on Saturday.

"I'm fine, I had the chance to train today and will be available for the coach to pick tomorrow," he told reporters.

The Brazilian-born defender missed the semi-final win over Wales on Wednesday because of a thigh injury and had trained separately on Friday.

Pepe, sent off against Germany in the 2014 World Cup, was outstanding in the centre of the Portugal defence in their first five games at the tournament.
