Pak, China ties will strengthen under Xi Jinping: Zardari

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari today expressed the hope that the “all-weather and multifaceted friendship” between Pakistan and China would be further strengthened under his new Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping. In a message congratulating Xi on his election as President, Zardari said the confidence reposed in his leadership by the National People’s Congress was a testament to his “hard work and years of devoted service to the people of China”. AP[/caption] “The President also expressed the hope that the all-weather and multifaceted friendship between the two countries and its people would be further strengthened and taken to new heights,” said a statement issued by the Foreign Office. Zardari further expressed the hope that China will achieve “more momentous milestones in its pursuit of national rejuvenation and peaceful development” under Xi’s leadership. PTI
