Over 1 lakh mobile users switch to BSNL through number portability

Coimbatore: Over one lakh mobile users have so far switched over to BSNL in Tamil Nadu Telecom circle through number potrability, a top official of Coimbatore Telecom (CBT) said today.

Though the number was not that large, considering the 64 lakh mobile customer base, many mobile subscribers preferred to switch over to BSNL, proving that it is gaining momentum in attracting customers from other operators, N Haribabu, Principal General Manager, CBT, told reporters here.
