The six-feet-tall statue, ordered by the Birmingham City Council and made of wicker, a hard woven fiber, shows the five-time World and three-time Olympic gold medallist Jamaican runner raising his right arm—even though the sprinter, based in Birmingham, always lifts his left, The Sun reported.

Unfazed by the criticism, the council, however, said: "Next you'll say the face doesn't look like him."
