New Delhi: Senior IPS officer from Uttar Pradesh Om Prakash Singh has been appointed as the chief of the airport sector of the CISF security at the country’s civil air terminals. The 1983-batch officer will look after the security of the country’s 59 airports as the additional director general (ADG) of the Central Industrial Security Force.[caption id=“attachment_1363151” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Keeping a vigil in airports. Before coming to the Centre, Singh was working as the ADG (Security) in his state. Singh, in his earlier stints at the Centre, has served in the Prime Minister’s security SPG and paramilitary CRPF.
