New Delhi: Chennai-based Venus Spa & Salon that runs ‘Naturals’ chain of salons today said it has tied up with Bharti Retail to open at least 250 outlets within the latter’s ’easyday’ retail stores across India in the next three years.
“We have entered into an agreement with Bharti Retail to open salons within an easyday store. The first one is opening in Ghaziabad and that will mark our entry in North India,” Naturals Salon & Spa Regional Manager Business Development Ravi Dikshit told PTI.

At present, 133 Naturals salons operate in South India, but the company has an aggressive plan to expand across the country, he added.
“Including the 250 salons planned with Bharti Retail, Venus is targetting to open 600 salons in the next three years,” Dikshit said.
Of the 133 salons currently operational, Venus has franchised out around 120.
Asked about the 250 planned at easyday stores Dikshit said the first few will be run by Venus and will explore the franchise route later.
When asked about Bharti Retail’s participation in the project he said: “Bharti is only renting out space within the stores.
Operations will be handled by Venus.”
He said one salon will be spread across a minimum 1,200 square feet of space and would cost around Rs 25 lakh to Rs 40 lakh.
A Bharti Retail spokesperson confirmed the partnership.
Naturals is endorsed by Bollywood actor Genelia D’Souza.
